This hike is extremly touristy but for good reason. Start the hike from the Roys Peak carpark early in the morning and hike it for sunrise. This way you'll beat the crowds and be in for a real treat at the top. It's a hard 3 hours of straight uphill to the top but You'll see panoramic views of the Alps and Lake Wanaka which won't disapoint and is worth the climb
